Man... It's been a while since I've written a post that starts with this picture ya?  Amtrak Century was the last century I did, and that was back in the beginning of September, so it's been almost 2 months since I've done a century ride... and You know what? My legs, lungs, heart, arms, shoulders and brains could all tell.  Spooktacular was a F&amp;%$ing nightmare.

I'll start by saying that I was planning on taking it easy for this century.  That didn't happen.  When Joseph called and said he was interested in "Going along for the ride" I knew it was going to become a hammer fest.  and it was. It's a ride and it's named after something that sucks that makes people scared. Hence one could assume that it might be slightly more difficult than your regular ride through your neighborhood park. More often than not I'm a creature of comfort.  I find myself getting into a good groove and I stick to it.  Case in point: Training for The Mulholland Challenge.  Instead of finding varying rides with the elevation I needed I simply did laps of a very familiar ride that's close to my home that I ride all the time.
